About us
510k is built by Alexkid - a producer and DJ with decades of experience, releases on F Communications, and a key part of the 2000s French dance music scene.
Alexkid develops the concepts and prototypes in Berlin. Tadashi, based in Nagoya, Japan, translates those ideas into the VSTs you use in your DAW.
A lot of modern production is too perfect by default. Ultra-tight timing, everything snapped to the grid, and suddenly the groove disappears. These tools are meant to give you a strong starting point fast, then nudge you into something unexpected, without drowning you in options.
A big part of the design philosophy is simple: keep things quick, fun, and effective, with limits that keep the output musical. Even when you randomize or experiment, you should be able to move fast without “breaking” the result.
The point is simple: less staring at the grid, more playing with ideas.
