3K60 CONVERTER turns ordinary audio files into ready-to-load kits for the Akai MPC60 and MPC3000. Drop samples onto a four-bank pad grid, trim, tune, slice and level them, watch your kit fit the machine's memory in real time, then export a native .PGM program with its .SND samples (or plain .WAV files) ready to drop onto your hardware.

Built for producers who work the way the classic Akai samplers actually work, 3K60 CONVERTER handles the format quirks so you don't have to: 12-bit / 40 kHz for the MPC60, 16-bit / 44.1 kHz for the MPC3000, mono merging, the 45 RPM resample trick, and a live memory budget that tells you exactly what fits. Everything is non-destructive. Your original files are never touched, and edits are baked in only on export.

The MPC60 and MPC3000 have been out of production for decades. 3K60 CONVERTER exists because those machines still sound like nothing else, and getting modern audio into them has always been a chore. This is a labour of love for two of the most influential samplers ever built.

Key Features

  • Four-bank pad grid (64 pads) with drag-and-drop loading straight from Finder
  • Native export to MPC3000 (16-bit / 44.1 kHz) and MPC60 (12-bit / 40 kHz) as .PGM program plus .SND samples
  • WAV export at 16-bit or 24-bit, per pad or for the whole kit
  • Opens existing .PGM programs and .SND samples, with name, trim, tune and level intact
  • Sample Editor with dual-lane zoom trimming, snap to zero crossing, and per-pad level and tune
  • Slice Editor with equal or manual modes, auto-named slices laid across empty pads
  • 45 RPM resample trick to save sample RAM, per pad or across the entire kit
  • Live Kit Stats with per-machine memory targets (MPC60 750 KB / 1.5 MB; MPC3000 2 / 8 / 16 / 32 MB)
  • Automatic mono merge for stereo samples on MPC60 export, or keep stereo for Vimana OS
  • Identical samples used across several pads are written once to save space
  • Non-destructive editing throughout, with up to 30 steps of undo
